GOG/Origin: Apply the 4GB patch. Make a backup copy of bin_ship\daorigins.exe. Download and unzip the 4 GB Patch. Start the patch and choose the original daorigins.exe. If the patching is successful, start the game. If the game does not start, replace the patched exe with you backup.
I didn't have to activate any DLC by following a link, except I've done what somebody suggested in a review: to execute the DAU* and DAOU* exe files in \Programs (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dragon Age Ultimate Edition\redist\ Reviewer said that the DLC would not be available without doing that.
You can purchase Dragon Age: Origins and all of it's DLC for around $7.49 US dollars and active it on EA Origin with the CD keys provided by Steam. This is important because the EA Origin market doesn't have a Ultimate edition like Steam does. I nearly purchased both DA:O and DA:O's DLC for around $15 US dollars, which isn't much but I guess
Make sure you're logged into the game account beforehand, of course. The site should tell you it accepts the codes. Go into the game, log into the account you put your codes into and the check the downloadable content tab and make sure it's downloading it. Wait for it to finish and have the extra content enabled.
