Re: cylinder numbering Post by Wheelman » Fri Oct 25, 2013 7:45 am In the Ford V6 the firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6 and the cylinder layout is, starting from the front of the engine, windshield side the cylinder numbers are 123 then on the radiator side again starting from the front of the engine the cylinders are 456. Bank 1 is where the number one cylinder/spark plug is located. If this is a 4 cylinder engine, number 1 is at the front of the motor and bank 1 is irrelevant and the number 1 sensor would be the one screwed into the exhaust manifold attatched to the cylinder head.
